Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Carter born in the past three hundred years. He takes great joy in being the best Carter in town.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Carter for the past few years.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and he is greedy

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. She is a thrill seeker, she laughs at people and throws down challenges. She is highly competitive and combative.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she's looking for her big break

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
