History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She took after her mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting illithids, the young Thiala began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Thiala was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Bounty Hunter arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and a strong sense of loyalty to gnomish people

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. In her 16th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. Some 4 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Vola never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.
