History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Shaká and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Ruler. He tends to his Ruler job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Gardener work with an outfit from a few towns over. Gardener work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
