History: Althaea was born the youngest of three triplets. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Althaea grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Althaea. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Born in the south to a Painter, Ridaro learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She struck the Painter job and began her own company from there.

Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip she always seeks to do solids for her friends.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Burto speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his music with anyone who is interested.

History: Burto was born with his mother's beautiful face. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: She is a very philanthropic person; she spends her free time working at various soup kitchens. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of orcs may trigger it at times.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Andry was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. As a young child she wandered into the woods despite her mother's warnings against it. Afterwards she claimed she had encountered orcs who tried to eat her hand. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it.
