History: Mehen lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. After a long history of fighting, Theodoric and his spouse have recently divorced.
