Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what she was had she not made sure her armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit she is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. Her hair is greying and her face has many wrinkles. She has a dull look in her amber eyes.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Valanthe grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Valanthe. Being a Layabout kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and to find somewhere to settle down

His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. Serpent is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Serpent was born the youngest of three triplets. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Interpreter and was forced into it by his family.

Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Roofer arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.
