Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his singing with anyone who is interested.

History: Umpen lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Umpen grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Umpen. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
