History: Rael hails from a village terrorized by giants. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Shepherd hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. After months of barely getting by, Murgen managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.
