History: Valanthe lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Valanthe fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and her religion dominates her actions

Personality: She goes out her way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one she won't accept into her heart. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the west. Her father was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Gardener profession.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Healer. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Motivation: To clean up the streets.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
