History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born at the edge of vast mountains. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was born into a rich family. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: She is a Cartwright first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. When triggered she is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: Avelina was born the youngest of three triplets. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She has worked as a Cartwright like her father before her.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Dwarves.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Gardain fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the south. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
