One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Through the years after Emeny was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Emeny's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Emeny and her spouse have recently divorced.
