Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Scribe they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Navigator, and she later adopted a second daughter.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Melissa was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a large cave. She would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Melissa took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up club and armor she uses now. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Melissa fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
