History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Paela took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up flail and armor she uses now. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: Jade lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
