Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. The war was a terrible time for him, and Arjhan does not often speak of it. History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. Malquis is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Malquis lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Like her mother and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Hunter. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He dresses in blue turtlenecks beneath a black coat with brown slacks. His hair, while still mostly chestnut, has prominent grey streaks. His skin is flawless and his violet eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Oppleby grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Oppleby. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family She always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: She has decided she is irredeemable; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

Description: This malnourished man is wearing colorful clothing, dressed as a Beggar. His chestnut hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a deerstalker hat. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Beggar hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: Helen is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Mayor for hire.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Mayor responsibilities is difficult; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
