History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Artin grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Artin. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

History: Shadow hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He worked as a nervous Mortician and found it very stressful. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Mortician.

History: Emerald hails from a village terrorized by goblins. Her parents were killed by goblins in a raid when she was still a young child. The goblins captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Expand her business.

Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She tends to her Baker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.
