History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. History: The child of a Painter, who enjoyed hunting, Harbek was taken on many hunting expeditions. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the south were limited. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Harbek never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has achieved small success as a Architect.

Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Herbalist.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it; and a deep hatred of gnolls

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
