Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

A fanatic, her devotion to her small selection of gods is unquestionable. She claims to be doing their will and will base all her actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and to end her boredom

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He got into the Shepherd business at a young age. Flak liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and a rival would like him out of the picture
