History: Kaladan lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: She was born into a rich family. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Vepar has worked very hard to control her curse. During her travels, Vepar and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Vepar discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Vepar fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.
