When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: Roland was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Warlock, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Warlock in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: The child of a Brewer, who enjoyed hunting, Tricking was taken on many hunting expeditions. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Jeweler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Jeweler work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Spice Merchant they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Gardener, and she later adopted a second son.
