He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Balam and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and her religion dominates her actions
