History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Makaria was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Makaria's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Makaria and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Valafar hails from a village terrorized by illithids. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Mason hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Valafar was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Cumpen was born on a far northern forest where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Crown-heir. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure.
