History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Rieta never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

Through the years after Simon was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Simon's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. Recently the stress of being a Butcher has made it difficult for her to sleep.
