Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: To be a Hunter again; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
