History: Born in the west to a Butcher, Mary learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. A gifted student she started as a Unemployed, but she got bored and became a Butcher. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. After a long history of fighting, Beleth and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Gnomes.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He worked as a nervous Spy and found it very stressful. After a long history of fighting, Zaffrab and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Azza was raised in a hard working conservative environment. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Scribe responsibilities is difficult; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing singing.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Like her mother and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Soapmaker. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

Personality: Her voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl she speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of her tone. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: Born in the north to a Detective, Keyleth learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Detective. She has taken up work as a Detective and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.
