Through the years after Nyx was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Nyx's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Nyx never married again.
