History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Richard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Richard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove her into the Soapmaker business.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. After a long history of fighting, Elegant and her spouse have recently divorced.

He carries his fan with him everywhere and carries himself as the perfect gentleman and is in decent physical shape. His silver hair is smooth and relatively long. His blue eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with dancing. He constantly tries to fill his life with dancing. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He got into the Knight business at a young age. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
