History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Bernard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. As a very small child her family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. Her father, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect her and cast a teleportation spell that whisked her away. As of late she has set up a hidden staging nest where she ambushes people she hires for escort.
