History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Mardred alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She struck the Bookbinder job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and sabotage a competitor

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Baker for the past few years.
