History: Emerald was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, orcs burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying north to reunite his family. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Aline fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
