He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Half-Elves in Randal's homeland. Randal decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. After a long history of fighting, Randal and his spouse have recently divorced.

Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

History: Born in the east to a Carter, Gynk learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. In her 15th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
