History: Gifted from a young age, Azzakh studied abroad. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Halfling companion (his 'brother'). During his travels, Azzakh and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Azzakh discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Azzakh fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
