History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Spice Merchant profession.

History: He was born in the north. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Anthony alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Born in the south to a Gardener, Emerald learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Gardener work with an outfit from a few towns over. Gardener work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
