Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Carter born in the past three hundred years. The war was a terrible time for him, and Uthemar does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Uthemar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Uthemar liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Spear lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Spear was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Architect. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
