Description: She wears a black tunic with violet highlights, and long tan pants that bunch up around her shoes. Her hair is greying and her face has many wrinkles. She has a dull look in her gold eyes.
Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: She was born into a rich family. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
Motivation: She is greedy; and seeks redemption

Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty blue coat over it. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to hide his balding. His gray eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.
Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.
History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Quarion was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Quarion's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature scythe.
Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and to reunite with his old friends

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Ruler born in the past three hundred years. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.
History: Gurdis was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She's also a talented Barkeep, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Description: He likes to wear red tank tops with tan pants. His long brown hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.
Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. Faran is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.
History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and to reunite with his absent mother

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. A true patriot, Gesrethe would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.
History: Gesrethe hails from a village terrorized by brigands. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: To end her boredom; and to be a soapmaker again

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.
History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
Motivation: Wants to work out more often.

Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. Flattery will make her almost putty in your hands.
History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away
