Description: Runty and weak-looking, he wears a tan tunic with pastel highlights, and long grey pants that bunch up around his shoes. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. He has gleaming, smiling hazel eyes.
Personality: Paggen wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Fighter, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... The war was a terrible time for him, and Paggen does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.

Description: She is in excellent shape and typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep black leather and dull yellow iron scale mail. Her hair is chestnut and curly. She wears a mask on her face.
Personality: She hates brigands. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She would rather hide behind her crafts than deal with other people.
History: Murgen lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Murgen was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the brigands.
Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and she desires to right it

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: She hates goblins. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. A true patriot, Mardred would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.
History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: A deep hatred of goblins; and someone believes her a fraud

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.
History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her father. Her martial abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Tabaxis in Right-Handed's homeland. Right-Handed decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.
