History: Merla was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ernest embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Elves. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Ernest grew up listening to his mother's many stories. After coming to the age of reason, Ernest took it upon himself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He tends to his Crown-heir job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion.
