History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Arava was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Chad lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive.
