History: Veloptima was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When Veloptima reached her early adolescence her Gnome father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Guard for hire.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. He takes great joy in being the best Sellsword in town.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He has worked as a Sellsword like his father before him.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and elven compassion

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. At a young age his mother died while driving off some illithids. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in shortbow use. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

History: When she was but 6 years old her parents immigrated from the west. In her 12th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating she would invite many more into her home than her spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: Lilli hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Lilli alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
