Emerald's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Peter was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and sabotage a competitor

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: She is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends she is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy herself. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage son.

History: Her martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Her first spouse was a Mercenary, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and she made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it
