Birel grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Birel. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

She claims to be doing their will and will base all her actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Bather arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.
