Kerkad's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and she desires to right it
