When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Warrior in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Dragonborn companion (her 'brother'). She has dedicated herself to building a better kind of golem.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
