Description: Runty and weak-looking, she sports yellow clothing, slightly heavier than average wear. Her silver hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. She has gleaming, smiling gray eyes.

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Birel is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Birel was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Her divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. In her 12th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She was granted divine powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and to prove her worth to the world

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Halfling in existence. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the west. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He became a Herbalist soon after.

Motivation: He is content; and further expansion of business

Personality: Mantus speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Mantus was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Mantus's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

Personality: He likes to be helpful to his clients. He likes to prescribe proper advice to his clients. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Zed was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Zed decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He's also a talented Tanner, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
