Description: A man with a warm, jovial air about him, he is wearing colorful clothing, dressed as a Ruler. His hair is long and white with streaks of brown, and is pulled back with small brown clips. His beard is brown, braided, and well cared for. He has gleaming, smiling violet eyes.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Hugh grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Hugh liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend.

Description: He has a missing left arm. He wears suspenders and black workpants. His shirt is tan, and he wears a heavy black leather apron most of the time. His brown hair is singed and shortened. His green eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Interpreter. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: She's in love; and her religion dominates her actions

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He got into the Barrister business at a young age. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Barrister work with an outfit from a few towns over. Barrister work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and to be a jeweler again

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. During his travels, Hork and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Hork discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Hork fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Leaf was born on a far southern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Mercenary. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and wants his loneliness to end
