He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He struck the Architect job and began his own company from there.

Personality: Nordak wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Aristocrat, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. While he appears to be a normal Dwarf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Nordak fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Her divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She now owns her own business.

Personality: She is intelligent and cunning, but she will too often allow her rage to get the better of her. She will lose her cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. She can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She found a children's book about a Half-Orc Cleric who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bookbinder. He has achieved small success as a Bookbinder.
