Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Cartwright born in the past three hundred years. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She snorts whenever she laughs or is feeling confident. The war was a terrible time for her, and Emeny does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Rhogar was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Jezean was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
