History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. History: Volen was born with her mother's beautiful face. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Being a Cook kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Elegant was born with her mother's beautiful face. Elegant liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well.
