Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Arannis's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He's also a talented Hunter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Interpreter for hire.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He became a Marshal soon after.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. The war was a terrible time for him, and Naeris does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born in the south to a Spy, Naeris learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. A freak accident while working with his Soapmaker mother left him crippled. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Spy for hire.
