Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Veloptima embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and she desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

History: She was born in a small plains village. Through the years after Carlin was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Carlin's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Carlin fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.

Description: A middle-aged woman, she wears well tailored gowns and hats with beautiful decoration. She is almost always dressed for an outing in high society, and is pretty ugly. Her head has been shaved. Her gray eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: She snorts whenever she laughs or is feeling confident. She is stubborn though. She always likes to keep a trick up her sleeve. She likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if she feels she even has a chance of losing.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has never given up on his dancing dream.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and he would like to get married and retire
