Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She is stubborn though. She always likes to keep a trick up her sleeve. She likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if she feels she even has a chance of losing.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Volen was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Volen decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. When Shanairla reached her early adolescence her Elf mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions.
